Five members of the Board are elected by the general membership for four year terms. In 2012, the Board of Directors was increased from five members to eleven members. The incorporators and first officers of the HOBO were Barbara Dreyer, President Michael Wood, Vice President Linda Glenn, Secretary and Lisa Nichols, Treasurer. Contributions to HOBO are tax deductible by the contributor. HOBO has been recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax exempt entity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. ![]() HOBO is an Alabama non-profit corporation and its business affairs are governed by the Alabama Nonprofit Business Corporation Act, the Certificate of Incorporation and the Bylaws adopted by the membership.
